'Landscapes are my inspiration, looking at the effects of light and colour that evoke their personal atmosphere. As I used to live in Herefordshire, my inspiration came from the surrounding countryside, the Welsh mountains to the west and the Malvern Hills to the east. I have also spent many holidays in Scotland and the west coast of Ireland. Having recently moved to Bristol I am now looking at the city as a new challenge and particularly find attractive the colourful houses perched precariously on the hills. '
